Political strides

This Resulted in enormous political strides by African Americans from the United States, culminating in the election of Barack Obama in 2008. Since that historical election quite a few states have passed laws in their states making it harder for people without a particular kind of government issued photo identification card to vote. Those affected by this new wave of disenfranchisement will more than likely largely affect inner-city African Americans, young Hispanic voters, senior citizens, and students who might have faculty or college identification cards, but not the state mandated cards.
